The substrate for this piece measures 6″x8″x 1″.   Eight layers of acrylic mediums combine with vintage prescriptions, stenciling, hand-painted details and hand-drawn elements.  The layering makes the different components look like they are floating above each other and gives the piece amazing depth, closely resembling a true encaustic artwork.  The edges have been gold leafed.
